Bahrain
is split into five governorates. Until July 3, 2002, it was divided
into twelve municipalities; see Municipalities of Bahrain. The governorates

The Capital Governorate ( Muhafazat al-'Asimah)
is one of the five governorates of Bahrain. It includes parts
of the municipalities of Al Manamah and Jidd Haffs.
